The EttesTitle: Danger Is EP |
What’s life without a little danger? Living life safe in your own cocoon can really burst your bubble once you find out that there was more to life than what you knew. Please allow the Ettes to lead you into danger. The Danger Is EP is a collection of three new tracks, two live ones and three music videos. A little different from most EP’s which contain only music without live cuts. “No Home” kicks things off with a bang and delivers The Ettes signature ‘Pump you up, get on the dance floor’ epigram. The ultra rockin’ “Lo and Behold” hits it right on the head with it’s revvin’ rock n’ roll riffery and dynamic aptitude. Coco belts it out on that one and it’s just candy-coated, sugary sweet! The subtle rock of “Subject” puts everything into perspective while both live tracks, “I Heard Tell,” and “The Rules” give you a distinctive insight as to what a power-trio like The Ettes can do. The direction that the band is headed sounds like growth as musicians and is satisfying in a sense that The Ettes are becoming who they’re supposed to be. In other words, they’re coming into their own. The Danger Is EP is an absolute spectacle. I’m hoping they keep the tenacity and fire and maybe set the bar up higher on their next one. Listening to this EP, I’m sure they won’t have a problem doing so. Rock out with The Ettes!
